We went on this extra special day trip, reliving “The Sound of Music” movie in and around St. Wolfgang at Lake Wolfgang. We rode the unique, steam-driven cog railway up Schafberg Mountain. At the top, we took in the incomparably gorgeous views of the Salzkammergut’s Lake District.

After enjoying a delicious lunch at Haus Schafbergspitze, we took the train back down to St. Wolfgang, where we had some time to see the sights and browse in the handicraft shops.
