At the Austro-American Society we offer a wide variety of regular and special events.
Every month we offer a number of regular events, which are all aimed at getting people together to share ideas, discuss topics and talk about books, thereby giving everybody the chance to use and improve their English skills and make new friends.
In addition, we offer different special events, which range from sports, guided tours, talks and sight-seeing tours to discussions and outdoor activities.

What`s on your mind? What would you like to talk about? This conversation group is rarely at a loss for words. If you`d like to become more fluent and relaxed while speaking English, then maybe this is the group you`d like to join.
A U.S. Teaching Assistant guides the discussions and helps the participants to feel more comfortable while talking English. For members. Please make a contribution towards expenses.

DESCRIPTION
If you love to read and talk about books, then you’ll enjoy meeting with this group. They get together once a month to discuss the book they’ve read, share their thoughts and feelings about the characters and themes, and discover their common interests. Come with your Kindle, paperback, or hardcover and join in the discussion - you’ll be glad you did!

English to Go
DESCRIPTION
Go for a walk and talk with a small group of 3 - 4 participants, led by a U.S. teaching assistant. With English to Go the group chooses the location and the things they want to talk about. Maybe go window shopping, wander through a beautiful park, sit at the bank of the rolling river - it is all up to you!

Games Night
DESCRIPTION
Let’s play a game together down at the pub! Bring along your family, bring your friends and neighbors to have a good time playing a variety of popular board and card games. It’s going to be a fun night at the pub. Please let us know in advance if you are going to take part and bring your own favorite board game to share.
